How We Met
Katie and Chris had classes together in high school but had never spoken. When school took a trip to Disney world during Katie's sophomore year and Chris' Junior, they met, immediately hit it off, and started dating!
The Proposal
Chris and Katie decided to celebrate their 6 year anniversary by spending the day in the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA. They planned an afternoon seeing the sites, dinner at the Melting Pot (their favorite restaurant!) on St. Charles, and then spending the night at the W Hotel.
Chris had been planning to propose since the previous November, 5 months before. Katie had her suspicions, but never expected to be proposed to in the most beautiful place in the city: Jackson Square! While she was snapping pictures of the area, Chris looked around to have someone take a picture of them in front of the cathedral. A few seconds later, a nice looking couple walks through the gates. Chris politely asks them to snap a picture, and next thing you know, he was down on one knee!
Luckily, the nice couple had been married just a few months prior, and were more than happy to document the whole thing!
